Julian B. Goodman for Mary Margaret Perry Barry, who died June 22, 1987, in a hospital. She was 67. Mrs. Barry, of the 1500 block of S. Eleanor Court, was active in several civic organizations, including St. Mary’s Infant Home and the DePaul Hospital Auxiliary, on whose boards she served for many years. A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she attended Maury High School. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mrs. Barry is survived by her husband, retired Navy Capt. Richard F. Barry Jr. She is also survived by three daughters, Joan Barry Smith and Carol Anne Barry, both of Norfolk, and Margaret Barry Lawler of Corolla, N.C.; a son, Richard F. Barry III of Norfolk; her father, Aubrey H. Perry Sr., and her brother, Aubrey H. Perry Jr., both of Norfolk; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to St. Mary’s Infant Home or the DePaul Hospital Auxiliary.
