The funeral of Mrs. Mary Moran Barry, relict of the late Captain James E. Barry, 
was solemnized from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 10 a. m. yesterday in the 
presence of a large congregation the friends of the deceased. Solemn requiem mass 
was celebrated by Rev. Father Walsh, associate pastor of the church. During the 
service, a solo was rendered by Mrs. James Hughes. There was a profusion of 
beautiful floral tributes.

The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pall-
bearers:
Honorary—Judge Thomas H. Willcox, Peter Smith, M. Umstadter, Colonel Walter H. 
Taylor, Hon. N. Beaman, Dr. James G. Riddick, George Chamberlain and Hugh N. Page.
Active—W. L. Newton, H. B. Reardon, John E. Wales, John A. Baecher, W W. Dey, 
William Martin, F. H. Campe and D. R. Creecy.

Mrs. Barry leaves two sons, Messrs. Edward and Thomas Barry, and the following 
grandchildren: Messrs. C. Moran Barry, James Barry, Frederick Barry and Misses 
Mary and Margaret Barry.
