Virginian-Pilot  May 14, 1940
Fred R. Barry, aged 51, formerly of Norfolk, died suddenly last night at his 
home, 803 East Grace street, Richmond.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Holman BARRY; one daughter, Mrs. G. Woodrow 
Diggs; two brothers, C. Moran and James Edward Barry, all of Norfolk, and two 
sisters, Mrs. Edgar Foster, of Mathews Court House, and Mrs. Herbert Iasigi, of 
Los Angeles. Mr. Barry had been a resident of Richmond for a number of years.
Mr. Barry was a son of the late Thomas M. and Mrs. Virginia L. Barry.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services Wednesday morning at 9:30 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
