Moran Barry Jr., and a former resident of Norfolk, died Sunday at 6:30 a.m. in Presbyterian Hospital after illness of a week. A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and Mrs. Mary O’Connor Shannon. She lived in Dallas 17 years. She was a member of Altar Society and Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, Dallas. Surviving are a son, C. Moran Barry III, of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Agnes Congleton and Mrs. Eleanor Hunt of Norfolk, and Mrs. Virginia Shafer of Pensacola, Fla.; and a brother, Joseph Martin Shannon of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Monica’s Church. The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 in Crane’s Funeral Home, Dallas. Burial will be in Dallas.
