At the time he first received his injuries he was removed to St. Vincent's Hospital and not recovering was removed to the Baltimore hospital about a month ago, but continued to grow worse. He first started in business at Chestnut and Middleton Street, Berkley, about three years ago, when he came here from New York and later occupied a portion of the store room of Morgan and Company, 468 East Main Street, Norfolk proper, at which place he was doing business at the time of his injury. B.F. Morgan, 406 Berkley Avenue, a member of the firm of Morgan and Company, received the telegram yesterday morning announcing Mr. Barry's death. The deceased was seventy-one years old and a native of Ireland. He had a brother in the tea and coffee business in Newport News. He is known to have possessed considerable property, both real and personal and it is understood that a portion of this has been left to St. Vincent's Hospital, in which institution he was well cared for during the several months he lingered in that institution. His remains will arrive here Tuesday morning and will be laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk. *************************************************************************** The funeral of Francis Barry, whose death occurred in Baltimore, was held from the apartments of Funeral Director H. D. Oliver, 520 Freemason, and conducted by Rev. Father Gleason, chaplain of St. Vincent's Hospital. The interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
