The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday October 4, 1946
Mrs. Katherine ("Sis") Rieves Bartlett, wife of Hartley William Bartlett and 
foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phillips, a native and former resident of 
Norfolk, died at 1 a.m. yesterday at Boston.  Besides her husband, Hartley 
William Bartlett, she is survived by one son, Charles Ward Bartlett, of Boston; 
her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phillips, of Norfolk; an aunt, Mrs. C.H. 
Spann, of Norfolk, and a number of cousins.  The body will be brought to 
Norfolk for funeral services and interment at a time to be announced later.
