Virginian-Pilot  January 29, 1970
NORFOLK - Joseph Edward Bartol, 50, of 3450 Bapaume Ave., an electrician at 
Norfolk General Hospital, died in a hospital Wednesday.

He was the husband of Mrs. Nina Bobbitt Bartol and a son of the late Rudolph John 
and Mrs. Janie Parr Bartol.

A Norfolk native, he lived here all his life. He was a member of Christ the King 
Catholic Church.

Surviving, besides his widow, are a sister, Mrs. Dorothy V. Burlage, a brother, 
Rudolph J. Bartol, and a granddaughter, Miss Christine Bartol, all of Norfolk.

The rosary will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 7.
A requiem Mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Catholic Church Friday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
