Virginian Pilot February 18, 1965

Joseph E. Bartol Jr., 22, of 1129 Modoc Ave., husband of Mrs. Agnes Unger 
Bartol, died Wednesday at 4:05 p.m. in Portsmouth Naval Hospital after a long 
illness. 
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a son of Joseph Edward Bartol Sr. and the 
late Mrs. Marjorie Baker Bartol. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church.
Besides his widow and father, surviving are a daughter, Angela Christine Bartol; 
stepmother, Mrs. Nina B. Bartol; grandmother, Mrs. Cora D. Baker; and 
stepsister, Mrs. Pamela F. Bell, all of Norfolk. 
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments.

February 17th, 1965, at 4:05 p.m., JOSEPH EDWARD, Jr., husband of Mrs. Agnes 
Unger Bartol, and son of Joseph Edward, and the late Mrs. Marjorie Baker Bartol 
in the 23rd year of his age. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, for services Saturday at 10 a.m. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
