Virginian-Pilot July 4, 1932
L. Frank Bass, a native of Florence, S.C., and a resident of Norfolk for some 
time, died at his residence in Harrisburg, Pa., yesterday morning at 4 o’clock. He 
is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Malbon Bass, of Harrisburg; a sister, Mrs. 
D. E. Etheridge, of Norfolk; four brothers, E. C., of Philadelphia; J. J., of 
Petersburg; E. H., of Washington, D.C., and W. H. Bass, of Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 
East Freemason street, Thursday morning at 11 o’clock by the Rev. T. Ryland 
Sanford, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. W. C. Gum, pastor of 
First Methodist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
