               William H. Bass Dies At Veteran's Hospital

William Herbert Bass, 69, 1849 O'Keefe St., died in the Veterans Hospital, 
Hampton, Saturday. A native of South Mills, N.C., he had lived in Norfolk for 
over 50 years.
Until 1953, when he retired, he was employed as a presser at a Brooke Avenue 
naval tailor's shop for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the New Calvary Church 
Cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Simpson and a son, Herbert Bass, both of 
Norfolk and two grandchildren.
