Bass, died last night at the residence, 302 Olney Road. Notice of the funeral will be announced later. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. J.S. Blake, Mrs. C.B. Edmonds and Miss M.D. Bass; a brother, Thomas W. Bass, all of Norfolk. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She had been ill for six weeks. ************************************************************************* The funeral of Miss Mary Etta Bass took place yesterday at 3 p.m. at the residence, 302 Olney Road, conducted by Rev. Vernon I'Anson, and was largely attended. There were many floral offerings. "Face to Face" was sung by Mrs. E.M. Allen. Burial was in Elmwood, the pallbearers being Leslie King, David Coates, Leonard Whitehurst, Vernon Cannon, Albert Nelson and Percy Dozier.
