Norfolk - Lee Batten, 2714 Liberia Drive, died Saturday at 4 a.m. in the 
United States Public Health Service Hospital, Norfolk, after a short 
illness.

He was a native of Pantego, NC, and had been in Norfolk 50 years. He was a 
retired employee of Chesapeake & Ohio Railway.

He was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Estelle Batten and two step-daughters, Mrs. 
Ruth Oka of Bronx NY; and Mrs. Martha Furry of Petersburg.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.
