Battin, wife of L.A. Battin, died yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the residence, 724 Reservoir avenue, at the age of 58 years. She is survived by her husband, a son, E. Vernon Battin, of Baltimore; a daughter, Miss Lottie L. Battin, of Norfolk; mother, Mrs. India Silverthorn, of Norfolk; two brothers, Edward Bolken, of Portsmouth, and Anthony Bolken, of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. E.F. Cherry, of Newport News, and a grandchild, Dorothy Ford Battin, of Baltimore. She was a native of Portsmouth, but had lived in Norfolk 25 years. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Park Avenue Baptist church. Burial in Riverside cemetery.
