The Virginian Pilot, Wednesday, August 9, 1972 

Edward Lamonte Battle, 4 months, a son of William and Mrs. Dorothy Battle of 1369
O'Keefe St., died Monday in his home after a short illness.

The child was born in Norfolk.

Besides his parents, surviving are three brothers, Jerome Battle, William Battle and
Vernon Battle and two sisters, Shirley Battle and Shelia Battle, all of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Citizens Funeral Home by the
Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
