The Virginian Pilot Sunday, December 17, 1961 

Mrs. Maggie Battle of 2400 Jamaica Ave. died Wednesday in a Norfolk hospital after
long illness.

She was a native of Wilmington, N.C., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wilson. She had
lived here 23 years.

She is survived by her husband, James Battle and a daughter, Mrs. Daisy Battle of
Norfolk. 

A funeral service will be conducted in Morning Glory Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m.
by the Rev. J.Q.A. Lassiter of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery.
