Norfolk Journal and Guide,May 26,1945
George Battle - Funeral services for Mr. Battle, 794 Johnson avenue, who died on 
May 14, were held from Hale’s Chapel with the Rev. E. W. Williams officiating. 
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Theora Battle, two sons, five brothers, and two 
sisters.
