Battley, died at 10:05 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence, 1107 Villa Circle. She was a native of Henrico County and has been a resident of Norfolk for 50 years. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. F.W. Walker, of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. H.E. Alley, of Richmond; one brother, L.D. Carter, of Richmond; two grandchildren, Mrs. Robert P. Wheeler, of Hot Springs and Miss Georgia Battley Walker, of Norfolk and one great-grandchild, Barbara Ann Wheeler, of Hot Springs. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. *************************************************************************** Mrs. Lucy Lightfoot Battley—Funeral services for Mrs. Battley, widow of George W. Battley, were conducted yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rev. A. J. Taylor, officiating. The Rev. E. A. Brosnan, and the Rev. P. P. Brennan were present in the sanctuary. During the service, several selections were sung by the choir of St. Mary’s Female Academy. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with clusters of Easter lilies, roses, snapdragons and ferns. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. E. A. Brosnan. Honorary pallbearers were Charles H. Spann, P. F. Hernon, W. R. Russell, W. P. Davis, J. L. Osborne, George Waas, P. J. Cavanaugh and Charles Emanuelson. Active pallbearers were James Swaney, Shirley Pattie, Wright W. Jenkinsan, Alex Emanuelson, Harry Hill, R. N. Koolage, H. T. Cruser and J. B. Sheehan.
