Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 3, 1929

John Emanuel Baublitz, 14-year-old son of Edward E. and Margaret Messick 
Baublitz, died at 10:15 o'clock yesterday morning at a local hospital after a 
lingering illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and resided 
at 820 Maltby Avenue. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Georgie 
Anne Baublitz, one brother, Merritt Healy Baublitz, and his grandparents, Mrs. 
and Mrs. E.L. Messick.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday afternoon at 3:30 
o'clock, the Rev. E.P. Miner, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church officiating. 
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
