Richard Everette Baughan – Funeral services for Mr. Baughan, 36, Norfolk city 
fireman and spare-time taxi driver, who was beaten to death inn his cab late 
Friday night on Sewalls Point road at Oakdale Farms, were held this afternoon at 
3:30 o’clock in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. P. Rowland Wagner, of Central Baptist Church, officiated. Pallbearers 
were Harry Osterheldt, Deputy Chief R. L. Woolard, Capt. W. F. Baxter, Freddie 
Fledimann, Johnny W. Ralen and W. B. Coupland. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Baughan was a member of Lamberts Point Lodge 106, Knights of Pythias.
