BAXTER, LENA BATTS – At the residence, 617˝ 35th Street, Sunday morning, April 24, 
1949, at 3:55 o’clock, LENA BATTS, widow of James B. Baxter and daughter of the 
late Dr. Dempsey B. and Nina Bryan Batts, in the 85th year of her age. Funeral 
services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home TUESDAY AFTERNOON, 
April 26, 1949, at 2 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
