Virginian-Pilot May 20, 1902
Mrs. Nellie Baxter, daughter of the late Mr. D. C. Whitehurst, of this city, died 
at her home in Elizabeth City, N.C., Sunday. The remains arrived here on the 11 
a.m. train yesterday, accompanied by relatives and friends. The interment took 
place in Elmwood cemetery. The deceased was well known in Norfolk, having resided 
here in the early years of her life. The deceased had been a great sufferer for 
many years.
