Ledger-Dispatch June 11, 1924
William J. Baxter, 79 years old, for 50 years a resident of Norfolk, died this 
morning at 4:15 o’clock at the residence, 1045 Hanover avenue, Larchmont. He is 
survived by his widow, two sons, Garrett Baxter, Norfolk attorney, and William J. 
Baxter, of Washington, D.C., and a daughter, Miss Kathleen Baxter, of Norfolk. 
Funeral services will be held at the grave in Elmwood cemetery tomorrow afternoon 
at 4:30 o’clock. The procession will leave the residence at 4 o’clock.
