Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday November 28, 1946
Mrs. Fannie Orgain Baxter, 78, widow of Charles H. Baxter and daughter of 
the late Capt. John Gregory and Mrs. Anne Bradshaw Orgain, died at a local 
hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock.  Mrs. Baxter was a native of 
Dinwiddie County and a resident of this section for the past 57 years, 
residing at 1539 West Thirty-eighth Street at the time of her death.  She 
was a member of Zion Methodist Church.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. R.B. Marye, of Shawsville; Mrs. W.A. 
Dunn, of Norfolk and Mrs. T.J. Nottingham, of Washington, D.C.; three sons, 
T.L., William and Charles R. Baxter, all of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren; two 
great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Annie Temple, of Norfolk.
The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
