Brimmer, Jr., this morning received a postal card from Superintendent R. Barksdale, of the Central Lunatic Asylum, in Petersburg, announcing the death in that institution Thursday last of "Dr." Thomas Bayne, a lunatic from this city. The deceased was a dentist by profession, and for several years was prominent in politics with his race, but of late years he had been comparatively unheard of. The card was designed to inform his friends of his death.
