Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, June 29, 1995 
Archie C. Bazemore of the 5500 block of Tidewater Drive, died June 27, 1995.

Mr. Bazemore was born in Windsor, N.C., and was a member of Antioch Missionary
Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Jeanette Bazemore of Norfolk, Gilda Bazemore of
Virginia Beach, Shirley R. Scott of Portsmouth, Janie Eccles of Chesapeake,
Brenda A. Norman and Jaqueline Linton, both of North Carolina; two sons, Archie
W. Bazemore of Brandon, Fla., and Derek G. Bazemore of Virginia Beach; two
sisters, Celia E. Cherry and Coleen Bond, both of Windsor, N.C.; eight brothers,
Donald R. Jefferson and George Jefferson of Windsor, Horace Jefferson of
Colerain, N.C., Thomas Jefferson and Forest Jefferson of Assining, N.Y.,
Alphonso Lee, Thedore R. Lee, and Joe L. Lee of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts and uncles.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Antioch Missionary Baptist
Church, Norfolk, by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk
Chapel, is handling arrangements.
