He was the son of the late Caleb H. and Mrs. Nancy Harris Beacham and was a native of Princess Anne County, but had resided in Norfolk practically all his life. Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter, Miss Nancy Caroline Beacham; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Moore and Mrs. Beulah Hanowell of Norfolk; Mrs. Fannie Potter, of Danville; Mrs. Gertrude Schwenzer of Richmond; Mrs. Verna Hubbard of Windsor Shades, and Mrs. Blanche Dunston, of Gloucester County; a half-sister, Mrs. Eva Byrd, of Norfolk, and two half- brothers, Swanson N. Beacham of Norfolk, and Clarence Beacham of Princess Anne County. Mr. Beacham was employed for a number of years in the car repair department of the Virginian Railway. He was a member of Lamberts Point Lodge 106, Knights of Pythias, Jamestown Camp 79, W.O.W., Edgewater Council 21, O.F.A. and Edgewater Council 27, Daughters of America. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon from the funeral home James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road. The Rev. Kenneth E. Burke, pastor of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
