Norfolk - Johnny Beal of 1406 Anne St., a retired cook for the Carriage House
and a native of Holland, VA., died Sept. 29 in a hospital.

He was a cook for 25 years and retired.

He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Irene Pierce and Mrs. Ellen Nattleton of New
York; and two brothers, James Howell and John Howell of South Farmingdale, Long
Island, NY.

A funeral was held Oct. 3 in Hale Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Roy Edler. Burial
was in Calvary Cemetery.
