The Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 5, 1938

Reuben L. Beale, aged 64, son of John G. and the late Mrs. Susan Gordon Beale, 
died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock. He was a native 
of Fauquier County, and had resided in this locality for 25 years. For the past 
22 years he was an employed as a clerk by the Merchants and Miners 
Transportation Company. He was a member of Owens Lodge 164, A.F. & A.M. He 
resided at 1312 Georgia Avenue, Coleman Place, Norfolk County. Besides his 
father, John G. Beale, he is survived by a son, John G. Beale. The body was 
taken to H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, pending 
funeral arrangements.
