Johnnie Beamon, 49, of 808 Marshall avenue, was given final rites last week at 
Pretlow Funeral Home.  The Rev. W. B. Westbrook, pastor of New Central Baptist 
Church, officiated.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Elizabeth City, NC, Mr. Beamon was employed by Zenith Cleaners for 
six years.  He was the son of Richard Beamon and Mrs. Hattie Beamon.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Beamon;  and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Cox of Ayden, 
NC.
