Beane, aged 62, for 20 years a sergeant on the Norfolk police force, died last night at 9:15 o'clock at a local hospital. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. A.S. Wilkinson, Mrs. G.H. Derring and Mrs. E.L. Ballance, all of Norfolk and Mrs. David Wilkerson, of Baltimore; a brother, P.J. Beane, of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body was taken to the funeral apartments of V.H. Smith, 631 Olney Road, for preparation for burial. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. ************************************************************************* BEANE – At a local hospital, Saturday evening, June 21, 1924, at 9:15 o’clock, CHARLES A. BEANE, aged 62 years. The remains will be taken from his residence, 717 Southampton avenue, to LeKies Memorial Methodist Church for funeral services THIS (Tuesday) MORNING at 11 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
