Norfolk - Mrs. Jessie G. Beasley of 524 Duck Pond road, the widow of John 
Beasley, died in a hospital.

A native of Sumter, SC, she was a daughter of the late John and Mrs. Biner 
Genkins.

She was a member of Usher Board, Widows Circle, Missionary Circle, and Susie 
Hawkins Flower Club of New Calvary Baptist Church, Beulah Tent 60, United Order 
of Tents Lodge, and Evening Star Lodge 2.

Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Annie B. W. Mouring, and a foster 
granddaughter, Mrs. Gloria J. W. Cook, both of Norfolk;  two foster grandsons, 
Lloyd H. Wilkins of Poughkeepsie, NY and John R. Cook of Norfolk;  and four 
great-grandchildren.

Services were held in New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Milton A. Reid.  Burial 
was in Calvary Cemetery with Elton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
