Becher, 65, of 808 Johnson Ave. was stricken and died in her home Thursday at 4:14 a.m. A daughter of Jordan and Mrs. Mamie Smith Moseley, she was the widow of William Becher. She was born in Norfolk. A retired registered nurse, she lived in New York City 40 years. She formerly was head nurse at the Henry Street Settlement there. She was a graduate of Norfolk Mission College and received a B.S. degree in health education from Columbia University. She formerly was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mabel M. Johnson of New York City, and one brother, Ernest H. Moseley of Norfolk. The body was taken to B. F. King Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Otis Wynn, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
