The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark May 8, 1931
Mrs. Bettie E. Beck, aged 58, died suddenly at her residence, 1809 Omohundro aven
avenue, yesterday morning at 6 o'clock. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Beck
Beck; three sons, Kenneth G., Maywood and A. Eldridge Beck, all of Norfolk; a daug
daughter, Mrs. E.C. Keever, of Norfolk, and two sisters, Mrs. M.L. Woodward, of Los

Los Angeles, and Mrs. E.G. Vallentine, of Richmond. Mrs. Beck was a member of the 
the Maccabees and had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 25 years and was the 
the daughter of the late C.F. and Martha Sykes.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'c
o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
