Edgar Beckett, 73, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 8:30 a.m. He is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. George W. Cummings, of Norfolk; a brother, Harry
Beckett, of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was a native of New Jersey, and had been a resident of Norfolk for 31 years,
residing at 2943 Buckingham Street. He was an honorary member of the
International Longshoremen’s Association, Union 970.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Saturday
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
