Virginian-Pilot, May 09, 1899


The funeral of Lewis Adams, the interesting son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Beckham, 
was solemnized from the residence of his parents, No. 276 Granby Street, 
Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. The services were conducted by Rev. W. F. 
Smith, of the Disciples’ Church, assisted by Rev. C. Q. Wright, of the U.S. 
Navy. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. The following 
gentleman acted as pall-bearers; Messrs., R. E. Snead, I. E. Powell, A. W. 
Creecy and Dr. R. H. Walker.
