Mrs. Carrie Beckham, 52, 214 West Freemason street, died in a local hospital May
5, at 10:30 p.m.  A native of Roland, NC, she had lived in Norfolk for 33 years.
 She was the daughter of the late Henry and Janie McCoy.

She is survived by one brother, Hugh Taylor of Edenton, NC.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 9, at 3:30 p.m. at the Hale
Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Z. P. Jenkins, pastor of the Union Christian Church.
 Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  The Hale Funeral Home was in charge.
