Mrs. Bertha S. Becton, 56, of 926 Goff street, a member of Ebenezer Baptist 
Church, was given final rites Thursday at H. T. Price Funeral Home.  Mrs. 
Becton, a native of Asheville, NC, died Jan. 16 in a Norfolk Hospital.

The service was conducted by the Rev. John R. Gray.  Burial was in Mt. Olive 
Cemetery.

A Norfolk resident 25 years, Mrs. Becton is survived by her husband, Walter 
Becton;  a brother, the Rev. Allen Lowery of Hazelwood, NC;  and two sisters, 
Mrs. Pauline Williams of Asheville and Mrs. Irene Brown of Los Angeles.
