Charlotte E. Belardo, 93, of the 1800 block of Farragut Ave., passed away April 
20, 2005, at Sentara Leigh Hospital.  Lottie, as she was known by all, was born 
Dec. 31, 1911, in Charleston, S.C.  She was a homemaker and the widow of Jose H. 
Belardo, Sr.  Lottie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She had a deep 
affection for her church, family and firends.  She was a member of Basilica of St. 
Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Norfolk, where she was a member 
of the Women's Club and the Bereavement Committee.
Lottie leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Isadora Reid, of Dayton, Ohio, 
Joan B. Parson and Gloria B. Neal (Andrew), both of Chesapeake, and Rosetta B. 
Beslow (Philip), of Atlanta, GA; one son, Jose H. Belardo, Jr. (Annie), of 
Chesapeake; one brother, Edmund N. Burke, of St. Petersburg, FL; 19 grandchildren; 
and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  Lottie was 
predeceased by one daughter, Barbara M. Pretlow, her parents and sisters.
A funeral will be held at noon, Tuesday, in Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate 
Conception Church, Norfolk, Father John Dorgan officiating.  Interment will be at 
St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk.  Family and friends will assemble at 2116 
Rock Creek Drive one hour prior to the service for the procession to the church.  
A Christian wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, in Metropolitan Funeral 
Service, 7246 Granby St.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Basilica of 
St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.
