Virginian-Pilot July 2, 1969
NORFOLK - Archie Belch Sr., of 3226 Kimball Terrace, the husband of Mrs. Cora 
Jones Belch and a son of Levy and Mrs. Fanny Belch, died in a hospital Tuesday 
at 4:55 a.m.
A native of Edenton, N.C., he lived here 20 years. He was a member of 
Chesterfield Heights Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter.
Besides his widow, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Mary Smith, Mrs. Doris 
Miles, Miss Annie Belch, Mrs. Judy Osborne, and Mrs. Louise Jordan of Norfolk; 
five sons, Linwood Belch, Horace Belch, and Charles Ray Belch of Norfolk, LeRoy 
Belch of Virginia Beach, and Archie Belch Jr. of Boyceville, Wis.; two sisters, 
Mrs. Ella Harris and Mrs. Lonnie Hill of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 24 grandchildren, 
and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Thursday at 
11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of a son, Charles Ray Belch of 3664 Bell St.
