The Virginian Pilot Tuesday September 16, 1952
Mrs. Lola Willoughby Belch, 76, of 1825 Springfield Avenue, Campostella, died 
at the residence Sunday at 11:40 p.m. after an illness of one year.

She was a native of Hertford County, N.C. and had resided here for the last 55 
years.  She was the daughter of the John and Mrs. Mary Overton Willoughby. She 
was a member of the Campostella Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, William D. Belch; three daughters, Mrs. Louise 
Edney, Mrs. Mary Fowler, and Mrs. Ruby Stroud; one son, William D. Belch, Jr., 
all of Norfolk; one brother, Grover C. Willoughby, of Ahoskie, N.C. and four 
grandsons.

The body was taken to the Sykes Funeral Home, where funeral services will be 
conducted today at 3 p.m.  Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
