Hattie Mae Gilbert Belcher, 68, born May 30, 1935, in LeGrange, Ga., came to 
Virginia in 1955. She passed away Feb. 2, 2004, in DePaul Hospital. She was a 
resident of the 2200 block of Monty Court, Norfolk. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Clifton Anthony Belcher; daughter, Karan 
Diane (Belcher) Miller and husband Jimmie Lee Belcher Sr. Left to cherish her 
memory are her children, Ramona B. Hopkins and Jimmie Lee Belcher Jr., both of 
Norfolk, Paulette Denise Belcher of Tampa, Fla., Reynolds Steven Belcher and 
Scherryl Lynette Belcher, both of Norfolk; her life mate, Robert Earl 
Blackshear; brothers, George Gilbert of Norfolk, Melvin Johnson of Baltimore, 
Md.; sister, Doris McQueary of Baltimore; and a host of nieces, nephews, 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A wake will be held today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Graves Funeral Home. The 
funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Calvary 
Cemetery .
