BELL, MRS. ELIZABETH JERNIGAN – In a local hospital, Wednesday, MRS. ELIZABETH 
JERNIGAN BELL, wife of Alex H. Bell, and daughter of the late John Hunter and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Bayton Jernigan, in the 75th year of her age. The body will be taken 
from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for a 
funeral service Friday at 12 NOON. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery. The family has 
requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. 
Paul’s Episcopal Church.
