Virginian-Pilot December 25, 1955
Mrs. Mattie Small Bell, widow of Charles F. Bell and daughter of the late Joseph 
R. Small and Mrs. Mary L. Small, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday in 
a Norfolk hospital.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Derry-Twiford Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 
p.m. by the Rev. R. Stuart Grizzard, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
