Mrs. Myrtle Lee Bell, 53, died at a Norfolk hospital on March 20 after a 
long illness.  Mrs. Bell, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Alice M. Jones 
at 2942 Hollister avenue, was a native of Prince George, VA.  She had lived 
in Norfolk 37 years.  She was a member of the Do It Yourself Garden Club of 
Bowling Park and held membership at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she 
formerly served on the usher board.

She is survived in addition to her daughter by her husband, Davis L. Bell;  
mother, Mrs. Malinda Stewart;  four grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, 
one sister, Mrs. Ernestine Colbert of Norfolk and one brother, James W. 
Brown of Hopewell VA.

A funeral service will be be conducted at Mt. Zion Baptist Church this 
Sunday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. W. O. Deloatch.  Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery.  Hale’s Funeral Home is handlling funeral arrangements.
