NEWPORT NEWS - W. Lankford Bell, 82, a resident of Virginia Baptist Home, 
Newport News, died Saturday in the home.
A longtime resident of Norfolk, he was a member of First Baptist Church, 
Norfolk. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired contractor.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ida Bell Kerring of Newport News, and several 
nieces and nephews of the Norfolk area.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, 
by Dr. R. Furman Kenny, administrator of Virginia Baptist Home. The family 
suggests memorials be in the form of donations to charity. Peninsula Funeral 
Home, Newport News, has charge.
