Claudie L. Bell, 1124 Pike Street, died December 23 in a local hospital at 1:15 
p.m. at the age of 50.

He was a son of Henry and Mrs. Alexina Bell and the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth 
Bell.  He was a native of Norfolk and a member of the Ebenezer Masonic Lodge No. 
66, and was retired by NBRR.

Besides his parents and wife he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Willie M. 
Hawkins and Mrs. Martha Kellam;  one brother Christopher Bell.

Funeral services were held Thursday night, December 26 at Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church with Rev. R. T. Adams officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with 
Pretlow’s Funeral Home in charge.
