Miss Ella Mae Bell, 35, daughter of Mrs. Ora L. Bell and the late James C. Bell, 
died recently in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness.

Miss Bell, who lived at 901 Whitehead street, was a native of Smithfield,NC, but 
had lived in Norfolk since she was 10 years old.

Besides her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Rankin, Mrs. 
Bernice Powell and Mrs. Dorothy Phillips, and two brothers, Willie L. Bell and 
Donnie F. Bell, all of Norfolk.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, March 8 at 2 p.m. at Pretlow 
Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Noel Taylor, pastor of First Baptist Church, 
Berkley, officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Pretlow Funeral Home in charge.
