Virginian Pilot Sunday January 3, 1909 
Mary Ellen Bell, the eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Bell, died at 
the family residence, No. 10 Main street, yesterday morning at 2 o'clock, after 
a lingering illness.
The funeral will take place from the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. 
J.O. Cox, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian church officiating and the 
interment will be in Magnolia cemetery.

The funeral of Mary Ellen Bell, daughter of E.L. Bell, was conducted at the 
family residence No. 10 Main street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.  Rev. J.O. 
Cox, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian church, officiated and the interment 
was in Magnolia cemetery.
