Virginian Pilot September 10, 1908

Miss Elizabeth Bell, the 12 year old daughter of Mr. Jesse and Mrs. Sarah 
Bell, died at the family residence in Commerce Street, South Norfolk, last 
evening from diphtheria after an illness of two weeks.  The family are 
natives of North Carolina and have been residents about five years.
The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The funeral of Miss Elizabeth Bell, the 12-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Jesse Bell, who died at the family residence in Commerce Street, South 
Norfolk, Wednesday evening, was conducted from the residence yesterday 
afternoon at 4:30 o'clock.
Rev. Q.C. Davis officiated and the interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
