Virginian Pilot July 28, 1901

Mrs. Mary E. Bell, a well known and highly respected lady, died Friday evening at 
8:45 at her home, No. 179 Berkley Avenue. She was 32 years of age and had been 
sick about five weeks. Her condition had greatly improved and her death was little 
expected. She leaves a husband, Mr. E.L. Bell, four children and an aged father, 
Mr. James Bell.
The funeral will be conducted from the family residence this afternoon at  4 
o'clock. Rev. M.P. Porter will officiate. The interment will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
